Jacob deGrom Signs Contract Extension With the Mets New York has locked up its ace starting pitcher for an additional five years. ESPN reports that the deal is worth $137.5 million. Before signing the extension, deGrom was under contract with New York until after the 2020 season. Despite just recording 10 wins, deGrom easily won the National League Cy Young Award last year.
