Chet Atkins "Forever" Guitar Solo

GOTW is a Gibson Chet Atkins SST from 1991. Many of you know that during the huge HITS KISS tour, BK would perform the solo for “Forever” on this model. Paul and him both used these electric acoustic guitars, and continued to during the KISS convention tour concerts in 1995. (Sadly, not on Unplugged as MTV didn’t feel they were acoustic enough!) Here’s a really great sounding one, shows some age, but will give that unique acoustic sound needed by rock bands from that time in a live setting. It’s pickup is very responsive. They offered these in natural as well, but the black ones were the color of choice for KISS. The one BK has the cool star inlays on the fingerboard. He just got this one set up with the lighter string gauges like he used back during that era of the band. Listen to it here!
