グリム兄弟版シンデレラ。大久保ゆう訳。グリム童話はペローの影響を強く受けているといわれていますが、この物語に関してはペローのものよりも原話により近いのではないかといわれています。7つのバージョンがありそれぞれ内容が違うらしいとの事です。主人公の名はアッシェンプッテル。本当は怖いグリム童話。上の姉は靴に合わせるためナイフで親指を切り落とします。下の姉は継母によって血が出るまで無理やり靴の中へかかとを押し込まれます。
