John Caird, the stage English stage director and playwright most famous for the smash hit show Les Misérables, talks about the great British author Charles Dickens. Recorded in Highgate Cemetery on the 200th anniversary of the writer's death.

Charles Dickens was an English writer and social critic living in Victorian London and the surrounding area. He wrote such enduringly celebrated works as The Pickwick Papers, Oliver Twist, Nicholas Nickleby, The Old Curiosity Shop, David Copperfield, Bleak House, Little Dorrit, A Tale of Two Cities and Great Expectations.
