Jan Adhikar Party calls state-wide bandh in Bihar

Massive protests broke out in Bihar on Saturday morning after the Jan Adhikar Party called for a state-wide 'bandh' over the law and order situation in the state and the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) issue. There have been several murders in Bihar that have been coming to light recently. Many citizens are of the opinion that it is a revival of 'Jungle Raj' in the state and protests have broken out across the state after the call for the bandh. Pappu Yadav of the Jan Adhikar party has opposed the government over the issue of the Afzal Guru tribute at Jawaharlal Nehru University and has spoken out in support of Kanhaiya Kumar, the JNUSU president who has been arrested on charges of sedition.
