Nation will not tolerate insult to mother India, says HRD Minister Smriti Irani

An event at the Jawaharlal Nehru University in Delhi to protest against the hanging of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru has provoked sharp condemnation from the government. "The nation can never tolerate any insult to mother India," said Education Minister Smriti Irani, while Home Minister Rajnath Singh warned of "stringent action."
