Rationalist and scholar MM Kalburgi shot dead in Karnataka

Around 8.40 am on Sunday, a man in his mid-20s knocked on the door of eminent Kannada scholar MM Kalburgi in Dharwad and asked for him when his wife Umadevi opened it. She called out to him and went in as he arrived at the door to meet the visitor.
