BSP MLA held hostage by Chandauli residents over constant power cuts in Uttar Pradesh

Two legislators from BSP were taken hostage by the people in Chandauli, Uttar Pradesh, after they failed to deliver on their pre election promises. While one was a BSP MLA and the other was the local councilor. This happened after locals were irked by the frequent power cuts. The locals say that were angered as the politicians failed to deliver respite from long power cuts and erratic water supply despite promising to do so. But the BSP is blaming the opposition behind the embarrassment.
