Why was a banned NGO given a contract to supply Chikki for children's mid-day meals?

Even as the Opposition stepped up its attack on BJP MP Pankaja Munde in the Rs 206 crore purchase scam, the tale took a twist when it came into light that the biggest beneficiary involved was linked to the Congress in the coastal district of Sindhudurg. The blacklisted NGO is owned by Congress leader Pradnya Parab. In the year of 2005, Hon. minister Mr. Narayan Rane inaugurated the first factory of Suryakanta in Vengurle and since then the team has never looked back.
