Maharashtra Government drops Mumbai Development Plan, new version in 4 months

Maharashtra CM scraps controversial Mumbai Development Plan 2034 as objections raised over the plan. Now CM seeks new plan for Mumbai. The plan that proposed to hike the floor space index (FSI) to a maximum of 8. The government has also asked the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation to submit a reworked plan in four months. Maharashtra chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said the decision to scrap the plan was taken in view of the massive complaints and objections received in the last few days. A committee headed by chief secretary Swadhin Kshatriya had found flaws in the plan.
