#Unacceptable: 16-year-old rape victim succumbs to injuries after being burnt alive
Set on fire allegedly by six youths on Thursday in Ludhiana at her residence in Prem Nagar of Dhandari Khurd area, the 16-year-old girl succumbed to burn injuries and died at around 1.30 am on late Monday.
She was admitted at Government Medical College and Hospital sector 32 Chandigarh.
In her statement to police on Thursday, she named six persons- Shahjad, Babbu, Binder, Amarjit, Chhotu and Anwar for putting her on fire. She had registered a case of attempt to rape and kidnapping against the four in October
