Cyclone Hudhud makes landfall, crosses Andhra coastline

Hudhud, a very severe tropical cyclonic storm, is steadily heading towards the eastern coast of India carrying wind speeds of up to 200 kmph. The cyclone will first make landfall near Visakhapatnam at Sunday forenoon and then in Gopalpur. Lakhs of people are being evacuated from towns and villages through which the cyclone will pass amid massive rain and wind. The cyclone is similar to last year's Phailin that crossed the Odisha coast leaving behind a trail of destruction.
