Mamata Banerjee must quit as CM, says BJP

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Siddharth Nath Singh on Wednesday exhorted West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to ensure women's safety in the state.

"Mamata Banerjee being the Chief Minister of West Bengal she should ensure that the women feel safe in West Bengal. Unfortunately there are many incidents which are happening in West Bengal, particularly if I say the Viswa Bharati University, a female student had to quit the University," the BJP leader told ANI here. "Similarly we are seeing in the Jadavpur University a molestation case there the students are demanding a fresh enquiry. So their demand should be met and confidence built in them by having a court monitored enquiry and the students should be explained rather than being beaten up by the local police," he added.
