Government yes to select committee on Insurance

Congress refused to budge from its stand that the insurance bill be sent to a select committee of the Rajya Sabha despite backchannel attempts by senior Union ministers to convince the party, forcing the government to delay its plans of bringing the proposed legislation in the Upper House by another day.
