The Centre may go for a Presidential reference in the ongoing row between Punjab and Haryana over a separate Sikh body as the HSGPC issue threatens to snowball into a full-blown crisis.
Sources in the Punjab government said the Presidential reference route was likely given that Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has announced opposition to the formation of a separate Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee.
