Death toll rises to 53 in Chennai Building collapse

Nine more dead bodies have been recovered from the debris of an under construction building at Moulivakkam in Chennai, taking the death toll to 53.
One of the dead bodies recovered from the accident site was that of a 10-year-old boy, police said. He might be the son of a construction worker, they added.
Kancheepuram district officials told that the rescue operations might be wrapped up by Thursday evening. Rescue workers would completely remove the rubble of the 12-storey building from the site by evening, they said.
