Pakistan Minister: Nawaz Sharif will take decision on India visit on Monday

Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was on Friday unable to officially announce his intention to visit India for Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi's oath-taking ceremony due to significant opposition from various quarters. "The decision will be announced on Monday," information minister Pervez Rashid said without elaborating. "We wish to have friendly ties with India," he added.
Officials at the Pakistan foreign ministry, however, said the decision would be made public Saturday. "The foreign ministry has not recommended him to visit India. The foreign ministry thinks this is not the right time for him to go to India," a source said.
