Disgraced IAS officer missing

The case against senior IAS officer BB Mohanty appears to be heading the same way as the case against DIG Madhukar Tandon. Tandon, wanted in a rape case, has been missing for the past 17 years.
Even as a court on Wednesday issued a bailable arrest warrant against Mohanty, he has also remained elusive for the past one month since he was accused of raping and sexually exploiting a 22-year-old woman.
A police officer said that a court has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against Mohanty. The warrant was issued by an additional chief judicial magistrate court on a petition filed by Mahesh Nagar Police station on February 26. As per the arrest warrant, the accused has to be arrested by March 25.
