The first session of the newly elected Delhi Assembly began on New Year's Day with new legislators, including the 28 from the AAP sporting the party's trademark white caps, taking oath.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who was advised rest by doctors, turned up for the first day of the session despite a deteriorating health.

He was seen sitting next to Education Minister Manish Sisodia.
