More than a week after six farmers were killed in police firing during a protest, now Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is in Mandsaur visiting the families of the deceased. The farmers in the state have been protesting since June 1 in support of loan waiver and higher remunerative prices for their crops.
The visit comes just a day after Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia was barred from entering Mandsaur. Lashing out at Shivraj, Scindia questioned the motive to bar opposition leaders.
