Tight security in Chennai ahead of Narendra Modi's visit - NewsX

Chennai: Chennai is under a tight security cover for the visit of BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Friday. More than 5,000 police personnel including from Armed Reserve wing have been deployed, police said.

The Gujarat Chief Minister will attend the 2013 Nani Palkhivala memorial at the University of Madras Centenary Auditorium and will also release BJP leader Arun Shourie's book 'Self-deception: India China policies.' The police have sanitised the Madras University Centenary Hall and the entire campus to ensure full-proof security.
