After the fight over the Samajwadi Party symbol, the Election Commission (EC)on Monday allotted the 'cycle' to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, thus increasing the differences between the father and son. Tthe EC had on Friday reserved its order on the allocation of SP's election symbol, saying that it will announce its decision on Monday.
Earlier in the day, the SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav hit out at his son Akhilesh Yadav and said, “I am trying my best to save the party and cycle, and if he (Akhilesh) doesn't listen then I will fight against him.”
Mentioning how he was trying to resolve the ongoing feud in the Samajwadi Party, Mulayam said, “I called Akhilesh 3 times, he came but went back without listening to me.”
Speaking over the decision, Mulayam had said, “We will accept whatever the Election Commission (EC) will decide.”
