NEW Delhi: Union ministers Sushil kumar Shinde and Sriprakash Jaiswal on Wednesday distanced themselves from allegations by Ajmer blast accused Bhavesh Patel that they had pressured him to implicate RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and senior RSS functionary Indresh Kumar in the attack, saying that they did not even know Patel.
"I don't know Bhavesh Patel. If someone takes my name, what can I do," Shinde told reporters when asked to respond to Patel's allegations, made in a letter to the NIA court hearing the case. Even Jaiswal washed his hands off, saying that "I don't even know him...why would I try to press surprise him?" R P N Singh denied the allegations as well, saying he wasn't even a minister of state for home during the period Patel was talking about.
