NewsX Debate: Has the Indian democracy truly matured as the nation turns 67?
First of all Congratulations!! to all of us to all of YOUI!! Your nation is 66 years old no no that's not right. Independent India is 66 years old. we are still a relatively young nation. we are still evolving as a nation although some of you would agree that we don't know what we have evolved into exactly. As a broadcaster of news and current events i have the privilege of talking to people. people like you and I and i talk to people who are lets say more involved in what is happening in our country. The picture is not a definitive one there are optimists, there are pessimists there are realists, there are dreamers, you have your standard hopefuls. your die hard cynics. like myself, all kinds of people, all kinds of mentalities, views, politics. I could go on on and on. The point i want to arrive at is that tonight we will try to do what is not often seen on your standard television debate. Tonight i want the language of the discussion to be the language that you speak. I want teh language to be teh language that these young guns of the country speak to help me with that i have a fantastic panel of eminent personalities
