Inspired by the success of the Indian Premier League, the world's richest shuttle tournament - Indian Badminton League - is all set to enthrall the cricket frenzy nation. From Saina Nehwal's promotional photoshoot in cricket pads to the top ranked foreign players, India's first-ever global badminton tourney has grabbed the eyeballs for sure but its success will be known starting from August 14.
After the hullabaloo and early hiccups in the auction, things have finally fallen into the places as the tournament gets set for a dream run. Following the footsteps of other popular sports including cricket, boxing and hockey, badminton too has jumped into the city-based franchise league.
