News X: All eyes on Gujarat HC on Ishrat Jahan Encounter

News X: Three weeks after CBI filed its first charge-sheet in the Ishrat Jahan encounter. Gujarat High Court will hear the case today.
In its first chargesheet filed in the lower court on 3rd July, CBI had termed the encounter conducted by Gujarat Police and the Intelligence Bureau as fake.
Today, the CBI is likely to apprise the court of their future course of action. The court had earlier rapped the investigative agency for inordinate delays in the probe. But sources are saying the Central Bureau of Investigation may delay filing of its supplementary charge-sheet so as not to embarrass the government by accusing a serving Intelligence Bureau officer of murder and conspiracy.
