Students clash at private varsity over mess row in Udaipur

Tension gripped for some hours at Pacific University campus here, near Pratapnagar on Saturday after clashes broke out between two groups of students over a mess row. Large number of boys came out on the streets and tried to block the NH-76 (Udaipur-Chittorgarh main way), however, police forces reached on time and dispersed the mob.
Panic hit the locality as shop keepers shut down their establishments fearing any untoward incident. The incident occurred around 1 pm, when a Kashmiri student had gone to the hostel mess for lunch. Shailendra Singh, the student objected to an unclean plate and refused to eat unless the thali was changed.
