Teesta's NGO set to lose FCRA licence

The home ministry has decided to suspend the registration of activist Teesta Setalvad's Sabrang Trust under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act, 2010, besides serving it a notice for cancellation of FCRA licence.
This will block all foreign funding to the NGO, charged with diverting foreign contributions including those received from Ford Foundation to non-FCRA registered entities, besides violating several other FCRA provisions.
