NewsX: The Naxal attack killed 24 people including senior party leader Mahendra Karma and a former legislator Uday Mudaliar.
The body of Chhattisgarh Congress chief Nand Kumar Patel who had been abducted by the Naxals in this attack was recovered. His one son Dinesh Patel who had also been abducted was killed too.
Former Union minister and senior Congress leader VC Shukla was injured in the attack and was airlifted to state capital Raipur.
