In a photograph that NewsX has accessed. Suresh Raina is seen with Deepak Narayni...who is a suspected bookie. Sources are telling Newsx that during a visit to Shirdi in 2011, the cricketer was seen in the company of Narayani, who allegedly runs a betting syndicate.
But This is not Raina's first brush with a bookie. The left-handed batsman was earlier seen in the company of a woman linked to an associate of an illegal bookmaker during India's tour of Sri Lanka in 2009. However, a senior ICC source had then said that the incident was investigated and Raina was proven to be not guilty.
