15,000 doctors on strike in Delhi

Over 15,000 resident doctors on Monday began strike in the national capital, demanding basic amenities, securities, timely payment of salary, etc. "No Out-Patient Departments (OPD) today" posters were pasted across Delhi government hospitals in the city. All OPD services in the state hospitals are likely to hit today. However, emergency services will remain uninterrupted, according to reports. Doctors from Central Delhi and Municipal Corporation Delhi (MCD) hospitals joined the strike.
