Congress reprimands Beni for his remark on Mulayam Singh

A sulking Congress minister Beni Prasad Verma today refused to apologise for his remarks about SP president Mulayam Singh. Even as angry activists of the SP burnt his effigies in Uttar Pradesh. Verma today kept away from a key Cabinet meeting even as his party tried to make amends. Soon after Lok Sabha was adjourned Kamalnath tried to broker peace between the two leaders. Congress spokesperson Janardhan Dwivedi also asked Beni Prasad to check his language.
