Kunda DSP killing: Vote bank politics galore

Even as the autopsy report of the deputy superintendent of Police Zia-ulHaq states that he was battered with blunt objects before being shot dead from close range, the murder is fast obtaining political overtones. BJP MP Adityanath has supported Raja Bhaiya by calling him not-guilty. He has also threatened a massive protest, if anyone dared to arrest Raja Bhaiaya. On the other hand, Congress is said to be using the opportunity to consolidate its Muslim vote bank. Union Minister of State for Home RPN Singh visiting the family of the deceased DSP Zia-Ul-Haq to express solidarity is seen in this context.
