Rape accused Bitti Mohanty held after 6 yrs

After being on the run for six years, Bitti Mohanty, convicted for the rape of a German tourist was held in Kannur in Kerala today. Bitti Mohanty was serving a seven year jail term, but his father a former DGP in Orissa had helped him get parole on November 20, 2006. But since then Bitti had gone missing. It is being alleged that Bitti was found working with State Bank of Travancore as Raghav Rajan. Kerala police on ascertaining the identity of the arrested person as that of Bitti Mohanty, has called on the Rajasthan Police to identify him. Bitti is scheduled to be produced in court today.
