Organ taken through 23 traffic junctions, sent via flight to Chennai for transplant
It was high-voltage action in the heart of the city on Wednesday, as traffic was cleared through 23 junctions on the chock-a-block Mysore Road, Hudson Circle, KG Road, Palace Road and the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) Road to facilitate transportation of a heart to Chennai. The heart retrieved at 1.45 pm at BGS Hospital reached Fortis Malar Hospital in Adayar, Chennai at 5 pm.
