The two arrested senior journalists of Zee News will be produced before a Delhi court. The 2-day police remand of Sudhir Chaudhary, editor and business head of Zee News, and Samir Ahluwalia, head of Zee Business, ends today. Both were arrested on Tuesday on charges of trying to extort 100 crore from Naveen Jindal-owned Jindal Steel and Power Ltd to black out unfavourable reports. Jindal's company filed a police complaint on the extortion attempt 45 days ago. The police have also asked Subhash Chandra, the chairman of Zee News Limited, to join the investigations. But he has expressed his inability to do so, despite being served three notices. Jindal however is seeking scrapping of ten TV licenses of zee.
