With the Income Tax department joining the ministry of Corporate Affairs in probing BJP president Nitin Gadkari's business deals, more and more skeletons tumble out of the closet. Reports on Gadkari's dubious funding web reveals that more than 100 companies were behind the two dozen firms, which were key investors in Purti group. These companies brought in amounts ranging from a few lakhs to a few crores. These companies constituted the first layer of the baffling maze of investments. Many of the 100 companies, spread all over India, were reportedly managed by Gadkari's aides for a couple of years or so.
