Bihar: 10 students killed in train, bus collision in Siwan - NewsX

In Bihar, ten engineering students from DAV College reportedly died and 18 others were injured when the bus they were travelling in collided with a train at a manned crossing in Siwan district. Unfortunately, the crossing gate had been left open and the personnel manning it were not around. The train rammed into the bus at the railway crossing which had the necessary barricading but was unmanned at the time this accident took place. The train was the Howrah-Kathgodam Bagh Express and the tragedy took place near the Chap Dhala Locality in Siwan. Railway Ministry has announced Rs 5 lakh compensation to the family of the deceased.
