The clamour for action against Raj Thackeray's anti-Bihari remarks is fast growing. His threat to throw out all Bihari's from Mumbai has drawn all round ire, with JD (U) and others demanding action against the MNS chief. It is said that his remarks are tantamount to hate speech and attract action under section 128 of IPC, which deals with Sedition. Also, his remark is against 19 E of the Constitution of India, which deals with right to reside and settle in any part of India. There has been political outrage over Raj's diatribe across India. It has also compelled the Home Minister to step in and assure the citizens of Bihari origin that their rights under the constitution are protected and they need not fear a thing.
