Arun Gawli gets life term in Shiv Sena corporator's murder case - NewsX

Mumbai gangster turned politician Arun Gawli is sentenced to life imprisonment by the MCOCA court for the 2007 murder of Shiv Sena corporator Kamlakar Jamsandekar. Gawli is guilty of taking Rs. 30 lakh for killing Shiv Sena corporator. The 60-year-old has been convicted under the MCOCA. Of the 16 persons arrested, the court found 12 guilty. While three were acquitted for lack of evidence, accused, Sadashiv Surve, who was ill, died in judicial custody last month.
