Congress leader Maulana Asrarul Haque has criticized party president Sonia Gandhi's pre-poll meeting with the Shahi Imam of Delhi's Jama Masjid, saying, "it should not have happened".
"You can issue a common appeal to all, but it is wrong if you appeal to only one community. Whoever has done it, it should not have happened," the All-India Muslim Personal Law Board member and two-time MP from Bihar when asked about Gandhi's meeting with Syed Ahmed Bukhari.
