Tirupati: 6 infants die in Government hospital - NewsX

6 infants are reported dead at the super-specialty Children's hospital - the Ruia Government hospital in the temple town. The deaths happened on Wednesday. Unofficial figures put the toll at 11 with several dying on Tuesday evening. Families of the dead children blame negligence and lack of medical infrastructure, including doctors and equipment. They are staging a dharna in front of the hospital demanding action against doctors. Andhra Pradesh chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy has ordered a probe. Doctors at the hospital have rejected the negligence allegation. In the recent past the SV Ruia hospital has seen a huge influx of patients from several districts of Andhra Pradesh, with massive massive infrastructure shortcomings emerging.
