Jashodaben offers puja at Gangavati temple

Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi's wife Jashodaben visited Anjanadri Hill, known as the birthplace of Hanuman, around 4pm on Wednesday in Gangavati taluk of Koppal district in North Karnataka.

According to a local TV news channel, Jashodaben arrived in Hospet, Karnataka, from Gujarat in a special train along with 1,500 other pilgrims, most of them women. This visit is said to be part of a pilgrimage that includes Badrinath, Puri, Dwarka and Rameswaram. During her 90-minute stay, she also visited Pampa Sarovara, which is close to Anjanadri Hill.
