Vilasrao Deshmukh on life support in Chennai hospital - NewsX

Union Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, admitted in a Chennai Hospital continues to remain critical with doctors fighting to save his life. Deshmukh was taken seriously ill earlier this month, his failing health necessitating doctors to shift him from Breach Candy hospital in Mumbai to Chennai, after his kidneys failed, compounding his health troubles. It's been over a year since the two times Maharashtra Chief minister was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver, and had been undergoing treatment at both home and abroad. In the latest, doctors continue to worry about his health, readying him for a potentially lifesaving liver transplant. His son, actor Ritiesh Deshmukh has volunteered to donate a part of his liver.
