Congress leader, Satyavrat Chaturvedi, says Rahul Gandhi will be the PM candidate of the party in the 2014 election. Rahul Gandhi will be the Congress's prime ministerial candidate in the General Election of 2014. The Congress's senior leader, Satyavrat Chaturvedi, says he can openly declare this now. Chaturvedi says the fact that Rahul has no government experience is no bar to him occupying the top post. Chaturvedi's assertion comes close on the heels of Rahul announcing that he will be taking up a larger role in the party and/or government soon. Several Congressmen, including senior leaders like Digvijay Singh and Salman Khurshid, have been exhorting Rahul to take the plunge.
