JD(U) to meet in Patna today to name new CM

JD(U) has called a meeting of its legislatures in Patna on Sunday to elect the new leader. JDU President Sharad Yadav said that the formal announcement on the leader will take place after the meeting. Earlier mauled in the Lok Sabha elections and facing dissidence within, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday resigned from his post, taking moral responsibility for JD(U)'s drubbing in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls. Later JDU President Sharad Yadav dropped a virtual bombshell by saying that the two sworn political enemies, JDU and RJD of Lalu Prasad Yadav will come together for what he called fighting communal forces.
