Congress Working Committee meet begins - NewsX

The meeting of Congress party's highest decision making body-Congress Working Committee (CWC)began on Monday to discuss the forthcoming Presidential polls. As per reports, outgoing Finance Minister and veteran party leader Pranab Mukherjee reached Janpath 10 for the meeting. He will be given a farewell during the CWC meeting today. Pranab, who is the UPA candidate for the President's post, is the longest serving members of the CWC. The committee is also expected to pass a resolution acknowledging Pranab Mukherjee's contribution and four decades of service to the party. Mukherjee will resign from the primary membership of the party once he files his nomination for the presidential elections.
