Don't support Sangma for Prez: Pawar tells Bal Thackeray - NewsX

According to sources, Sharad Pawar has made a personal appeal to Bal Thackeray to not back Sangma. Pawar said, "In the given political situation, Mukherjee is the best candidate for the highest post. He has vast experience as the union minister in the government as well in the Congress party. The NCP will on June 21 take a final decision related to Sangma's defiance to contest the presidential polls against the party's wishes." He hopes Sangma himself will withdraw from the race thus averting the possibility of any party action.
