Politics over Mahakumbh in Allahabad - NewsX

The much-awaited 2013 Maha Kumbh fair in Allahabad has become the latest trigger for a war of words between the state government and the opposition. The government has just disclosed its budgetary provisions for the fair,that the opposition is calling extremely inadequate. Both the state and the centre release the funds jointly for the fair. This time the Uttar Pradesh government says it will spend 200 crore on the event .... An allocation the BJP alleges is discriminating against the Hindus.
