Jaswant Singh meets Mulayam over Vice Prez candidature - NewsX

Senior BJP leader Jaswant Singh met Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav at his residence. Sources say that a section of the BJP has been lobbying for Jaswant Singh as the Vice Presidential candidate for a trade-off on the Presidential candidate. This section of the party wants the NDA to negotiate for the Vice President's post with the UPA in lieu of a consensus on the President's post. Sources also say that senior leader LK Advani is in favour of the move. Jaswant Singh served as the External Affairs Minister and Finance Minister during the NDA regime.
